The South Island's SuperHub at Dakota Park, will increase New Zealand Couriers' operational efficiencies significantly.

New Zealand Couriers’ parent company Freightways is working with Christchurch International Airport Company (CIAL) to build a purpose built facility immediately adjacent to Christchurch Airport... see below for time lapse footage of the build.

New Zealand Couriers will transition their Freight Operation and Support Teams to the new South Island Superhub in Q2 2017.

The SuperHub will have automated sortation and its own airside freight apron. The transfer from plane direct to linehaul vehicle along with state of the art sortation, means the swifter movement of freight. An additional benefit is the synergy of having all Freightways "express parcel" and "business mail" businesses in one location at Christchurch Airport.

The modern facility will comprise over 12,000 square meters of office and depot space. It represents a massive commitment and investment in the Christchurch and South Island economy.
